    Food: OK
Bar: poor selection, closes too early
Atmosphere: poor, their ventilation system for the smoker must not work. The smoke is so thick you can't hardly breath

I wasn't going to write this, but in lieu of the owner's latest commercial regarding his BBQ the Rolex of BBQ and the rest (meaning Dave's BBQ, in which that guy busts his ass and has a much better BBQ...like 10 times better). So here's what happened:
About six months ago, I took my two sons (9 & 13) to Buckingham’s, in which we did about once a week. We sat in the "bar "section in which many other families with children did so they could watch football games and such. Well, as we ordered our food, there was this patron behind us that was very intoxicated and inebriated. He kept dropping the F bomb, and many other vulgar words in which I won't post. After my nine-year-old obviously getting uncomfortable and not enjoying himself, I turned around and I asked the man if he could please refrain from cursing because there's kids present. He immediately came over and slapped his hand on the back of my neck and said "I'm sorry man, let me buy you a beer". I instructed him to never ever touch me like that again, and that I didn't want his drink, I just wanted to enjoy my time with my son's. He went back and sat down, but then he began saying things directed towards me and just would not let it go. Another guy that was his friend or possibly lover at the bar said that he didn't have to put up with that s**t. The guy stood up and came over and I didn't know what was going on, so I stood up with him and I told him if he came any closer, he was going to hit the floor. The manager at the time came up and she asked me if there was a problem, I explained to her what happened. She asked that either I keep my cool, or I leave. Never once saying anything to the intoxicated patron. I said "you know what, we come here every week and I've never had this problem". She instructed that next time we not sit with children in that "bar" area. I laughed, told my boys to come with me, and we left. I called the establishment, and they asked for my number to have Cameron call me, I never got a call from him. Stand up establishment huh? Must think it gives him the right to ridicule people that work hard. Real mature of him to call other people names as well. That's what happens when teenagers fight, I resort to calling each other names.

On a possibly more important note, the pulled pork actually tastes terrible. The brisket taste like something I have never had, maybe dog, or road kill. From moving to Ozark recently, that was the only place we knew that we could watch football games and sit down and have dinner. Overpriced I might add. Service sucks as well. They have some nice waitresses, but even on a non-busy day, they are ridiculously slow. I haven't been back there since that incident, and most likely never will.

The owner needs to mature and not try to discredit others for their hard work. With his new commercial, using the word "shmolex" is basically calling somebody a schmuck in which means "a foolish or contemptible person". Their BBQ isn't a Rolex, maybe a worn out $20 Timex or one of those cool looking no-name brand watches that quit working when you get it wet.

Drive a few miles down the road and give Dave's BBQ a try, and support a much better business. This is not an endorsement, nor am I getting paid by Dave's BBQ :-)

Description of the entree wasn't clear. Didnt say that it was a sandwich. Meat was dry. Asked the server to change the tv to a different ball game and refused.
